Jedidiah Mitchell 2007 Animation Reel --> Shotlist & credits 1--> These clips are taken from a series of shorts commissioned by the University of Massachusetts to accompany web-based lesson plans for the Theater program. Completed entirely by myself. 2--> "Dance of the Seasons," the third 24 hour challenge, directed by myself and Joseph Daniels. Responsibilities included preproduction / story work, character design, character animation, animation timing & coloring, and After Effects compositing. The first few frames of animation here of the Owl were created by David Suroviec and backgrounds were painted by William Robinson. 3--> "Way of the Mantis," my senior thesis with partner Joseph Daniels. Responsibilities included story & pre-production work, character modeling, rigging, some texturing work, rendering, After Effects compositing, and character animation (in all but one action -- the shot of the main character sparring with a wooden dummy was animated by Joe but because of the content of the shot it made more sense to leave this piece of action in my reel uncut). 4--> "Jack and the Beanstalk," the second 24 hour challenge, directed by myself and Joseph Daniels. Responsibilities included pre-production / story work, character design, character modeling & rigging, character animation, rendering, and After Effects compositing. Oh, and I'm the voice talent, too... 5--> "Untitled," my Junior year RIT film. Completed entirely by myself. 6--> "Splint & Kerplotzk," my Sophomore year RIT film. Completed entirely by myself. Music --> "Space Shuttle," by Buddy Rich.
